CYSTIC FIBROSIS FOUNDATION HOSTS 6TH ANNUAL FOOD & WINE FESTIVAL AT BALDWIN PARK

ORLANDO, Fla.; February 18, 2010 — Next month some of Orlando’s best restaurants and benevolent businesses will team up with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF) to present the 6th Annual Food & Wine Festival at Baldwin Park. To be held Saturday, March 6th from 6-9 p.m. the festival will combine culinary delights, fine wines and a fantastic cause, to provide attendees with an unforgettable night, as well as an opportunity to contribute to an organization that strives to improve the lives of thousands.   In addition to delectable food and wines, the festival will also feature live entertainment from the Dave Capp Band, a silent auction and an awards ceremony.

“First and foremost, this festival is about coming together to spread awareness and educate the community about cystic fibrosis,” said Central Florida Event Director Rick Porter.  “Fortunately, we’ve found a fantastic, fun and entertaining way to support our cause with a trio of food, fine wine and fundraising!”

In addition, several of the area’s top restaurants and premier chefs will serve as gourmet tasting stations, including Capital Grille, PF Chang’s, Café Tu Tu Tango, Primo, The Tap Room at Dubsdread, Southern Wine and Spirits, and many others.  The event will also feature the “Plates of Distinction” awards, which recognize the best tasting stations in four categories: Best Dish, Best Beverage, Best Presentation, Best Pairing, and a People’s Choice award.

The Food & Wine Festival is expected to attract up to 1,000 guests, who with a donation of $65 will enjoy an entire evening of delectable dishes, savory wines and live entertainment. To purchase tickets visit the CFF Central Florida Web site at http://orlando.cff.org/foodandwine or visit Food & Wine Sponsor New Broad Street Realty in Baldwin Park to purchase tickets in-person.  Best of all, attendees can rest assured that their contribution will benefit a worthy cause, as the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, a leader among non-profits, spends nearly 90 cents of every dollar raised on vital research programs in an effort to cure the disease.
